How Hydroporator® works
Hydroporator® fluidically stretches individual cells to instantaneously permeabilize their cell and nuclear membranes, enabling the rapid delivery of biomolecules. This unique method allows for highly efficient delivery while maintaining the viability and cell functionality.

The sample (cells + delivery cargos) is infused into the Hydroporator and flows through the microfluidic cartridge.
SAMPLE LOADING -

The cells are fluidically deformed by the microfluidic vortex, creating nanopores in their cell and nuclear membranes.
FLUIDIC CELL DEFORMATION -

As the cells recover their shape, nearby delivery cargos enter through the nanopores via convection and diffusion.
DELIVERY -

As the perforated membrane reseals within a minute, health cells with delivered cargos are recovered.
